The Sri Lanka College of Paediatricians (SLCP), established in 1996, is the successor to the esteemed Ceylon Paediatric Association (CPA), founded in 1952. As the apex academic body for child healthcare in Sri Lanka, the SLCP comprises all Consultant Paediatricians in the country. Its core focus lies in optimal child healthcare, and it has made significant strides over the past 26 years. Key highlights include academic excellence, humanitarian initiatives, and advocacy. The SLCP collaborates with international paediatric organizations, emphasizes continuing medical education, engages in projects to improve paediatric healthcare, and plays an active role in advocating child health policies with the Sri Lankan government.
